Have picked up a GPZ 19" coil for a bargain. I know you've always had issues with the weight Reg, but I'm yet to read anything negative about performance and depth of late. Most are understandably using X-coils.
Any other pros or cons you'd care to share would be appreciated. Smile

lol! To quote Reg..."I would use it to gain the chip for a patch lead enabling you to purchase an Xcoil. This is the way James Beatty has gone and I suggest you contact him to get his opinion.
The 'dog' coil is not much better than the standard coil and is just ridiculously heavy. Xcoils are brilliant."

Will give it a run until I pick up enough colour to take Reg's advice. cheers

Picked up the big fella and took it for a spin.......

Starting to think some people have twigs for arms..lol  While heavier than standard it's not much different to other big coil effect on machines in that it makes the zed front heavy. had no prob throwing it around, though would admittedly fit the bungee for all day use. In saying that the swing arm was more than adequate for the couple of hours I was playing with it. Will give it a run over my test bed and see what settings work best, though my original intention was to just use Bogene's which it seems to handle well. Smile

At $400 + post, if it doesn't fulfil my needs, I'll take the Wilson option of a donor for an Xcoil patch lead.

A first find of 3.4g sees the anchor almost pay for itself straight up. With my limited time on outings, I don't see the weight being an issue in the short spurts I use it. Very Happy
