A quick search reveals machines already being used with GPR in combination with other technology for mine and IED detection. I'm sure someone will refine these technologies in future, and any cross over applications for gold prospecting will be utilised as the next big thing. Who's to say who or what it will be?
"ALIS-RT is an integrated, lightweight, portable detector which incorporates three detection technologies, Metal Detection (MD), Carbon Rod Detection (CRD) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), which can be used individually or in combination."
Doug sure did twist your words. The way I read it you were merely speculating on how future developments in ground penetrating radar and metal detecting could evolve into some sort of integration. I didn't see it as Doug portrayed as being limited by the technology of today. The leap from VLF to Pulse Induction detectors proved that nothing is static, and who can say when the next major advance will come, but come it will.

Not wrong, also seems he can see the future based on what he thinks he knows about today's tech. He's even stealing the subject in an effort to boost his own numbers, and insulting as he goes.
Seems AEGPF Admin (AKA DhD) has the ability to make definitive statements about the future of everything, but can only offer current tech as reference. Links to sites that offer nothing to back his outrageous claims are offered with no context or reference given. I doubt in most cases he even looks at more than the title of links he posts.
Attempting to make speculation about the future by Reg and myself out as some sort of truthful claim, that the righteous DhD must protect the simple minded folk (that's everybody else) from being influenced by. As if the few of us that still indulge forums, couldn't cope without his input, or form our own opinion. Different points of view or alternative facts (AKA to us as TRUTH) will not be tolerated. Any disagreement is an offence to his perceived, yet to be sighted, integrity.
As for his talking ASS, my translator is still trying to work out if his garble actually means anything, hopes are not high.
Good old Codswallop. Hasn't used a detector in years, but is an expert of course, and has the uncanny ability to see into the future. He uses technical terms which he merely 'parrots' Catflap (the ground tracking genius) and posts links from other 'flat earth' experts. Uncountable 'experts' in the past have predicted that various technologies have gone as far as they could go, only to be proven wrong with the introduction of ground breaking advances of one sort or another. Amusing that such an example of failure over such a long period of time, who struggles to even get basic spelling right, and is dumb enough to fall for dating fraud, is such a self opinionated 'scientist'. Real scientists don't make such foolish statements about limits, or that technology having gone as far as it can go. Once a fraud, always a fraud.
