I remember being at a girlfriends place with friends after dinner at the pub.
Though we weren't in the lounge, the TV was on when I walked in....
The first plane had already hit and there was confused reporting on all channels. I sat on the couch, a little intoxicated, and tried to grasp what was being said....
While I watched, a plane flew into one of the towers...
It took a few moments to realise this was a second plane, and the other tower...
Everyone was in the room by now and sobered up very quickly.
Eyes remained on the screen and story, watching both towers fall, and the results of the other aircraft in Washington (Pentagon) and Pennsylvania. The innocent lives lost in that one chain of events.
