Axiom price cut, stripped down.

I had heard whispers about the Axiom, and Garrett releasing a budget version. Just no info on what form it would take.
The single coil $4999 Aus version puts the Axiom back in the game. IMO.

With the single channel E1500, a recent entry into the market, making competitors look overpriced and underperforming.
It was only a matter of time before either ML or Garrett responded.
Garrett has respectively dropped the Axiom into a more competitive price range. With ML yet to show any signs or response.


With the E1500 breaking onto the market and being Aus designed and assembled, going to be hard for ML and/or Garrett to get back that piece of the market.

Minelab only recently increased thier prices didnt they ?

Yeah ML price rise before Xmas.
Lousy timing though, makes the 1500 look a bargain and ML look overpriced.
If Garrett had come in at this price range initially I think they would have seen a lot more go off the shelves in Aus.

Seems the Axiom price cut is seeing some success with the local dealer here.
Phil at The Prospectors Depot is pre selling machines before they arrive and struggling to maintain stock. (dealers must pay in advance)
More machines sold since the price drop than in the preceding time since it's release.
I'll keep an eye out for any new finds vids. If anybody else sees any feel free to post.

It's taken a while but some nice finds with Axioms are surfacing..
