update of the QED... as of 11/04/2023

the update is that the QED is ready for us to test Howard will be updating some people detectors at the expo for further testing

So much for Goldman's Easter testing!  Apparently he hasn't had time to even get his machine Updated?!
Once again Howard will be using users to test his machines, which is strange as the only QED dealer threw out all user testing that was being done while in WA last year, and insisted all testing goes through him before seeing release to users in the field.

It still amazes me that Goldman, who only lives basically just down the highway to Howard, isn't checking in at least once a week in an effort to get this thing finalised. What does he actually do with his time?? No shop to run, no detecting training, no "Gold Tours", no testing? Yet somehow can't find the time to test a Q that Howard will start releasing, and he'll be answerable for.

I hope he's finally got something and stops stuffing owners around, though it seems lessons about releasing updates without proper field testing are yet to be learned, and again will involve giving machines to those who detect, not to a dealer who's too lazy and knows nothing about prospecting, and is lucky to go out once a year, and then not in the same state??

No reports of any QED finds at all last trip from the Goldman! Let's hope Howard has managed something anyway...Time will tell.

One would be excused for being very sceptical of any announcements from Howard as experience has taught me.
Neither Howard nor his 'tester' have more than rudimentary detecting experience.
Howard has a history of ignoring advice from successful prospectors and charging ahead with unproven ideas, leading to major 'cockups'.

Surprise, surprise, surprise!!! (not)

Despite promises from Goldman, as recent as last Tuesday, that tracking/AGB updates would be available at the Expo.....Howard has failed to match his dealers words. Numerous QED owners, spurred on by Goldman's words, took their control boxes to the event with high expectations, (again based on Goldman's words) only to be disappointed.

It seems once again that claims, of tracking functionality, have been exaggerated. No updates available at expo, tracking not ready, further work with modes (depth performance??) also being undertaken...........

Disappointing, but not unexpected, no new timetable offered.

Absolute fraud! Howard would shit in the shonky award from Choice magazine. About as genuine as a three dollar bill.
Whatever respect Goldman may have had has been flushed down the dunny alongside Howard's false promises. What a con job they have pulled on their customers.

Two more weeks?!

At least that's the interpretation after an impromptu visit to QED chat.
A litany of technical jargon and explanations for delay, a dig at ML, and another 2week promise on tracking slipped in.(or weasled out of him).

To be taken with the usual grain of salt I guess.

If you were a bookmaker what would be the odds of Catflap coming up with the goods in two weeks?

100-1 plus, against, based on similar previous claims.
And while tracking was only a PL4 promise, the wait for a working AGB has been endless.
